Sleep disturbances (emotional, not physical)

You cannot go to sleep? Too many things are on your mind. Work, problems with your partner and other things you haven’t done jet circle in your head and break the sleep. 

The longer the patient suffers of sleep disturbances, the bigger is the chance of building up maintaining factors (over excitation, negative conditioning, dysfunctional cognition), which are free from the triggering factors.

Sleep disturbances can occur of various reasons and based on the Diagnose, the treatment takes place.

Here already the most important hints with sleep disturbances

  • Go to bed, only when you tired, not when you think it is time to go to bed.
  • If you cannot sleep, get up, leave the bedroom and switch on the light brightly.
  • Turn the alarm clock or cover it with a cloth.
  • Don’t take a nap during the day or in the evening.
  • Learn some relaxation techniques
